On-site Operations
General principles

In order to meet the increasing demand of media interest in Ligue 1 McDonald's matches, and to help International Broadcasters optimize their on-site presence in the Ligue 1 McDonald's stadiums, LFP Media has established the following venue procedures guidelines to provide uniform and binding regulations, to ensure the consistency of access for the broadcasters, when carrying out their duties and services at all Ligue 1 McDonald's matches. These guidelines apply to both domestic and International Broadcasters for all Ligue 1 McDonald's, and focus on the most important regulations which crews of domestic and International Broadcasters must comply with on matchdays.
For each selected match, International Broadcasters must provide the following information:
- Their on-site facilities requests, whereby they can request to the Host Broadcaster commentary position(s) on-site, pre/post match interviews and/or stand-up presentations.
- If International Broadcasters decide to use an external service provider other than the Host Broadcaster, they must provide LFP Media with a detailed list of the equipment (number of cameras, time and place of installation desired) and vehicle types (OB van, SNG…) that will be present in the TV compound, along with their registration numbers and dimensions.
- A detailed list of staff members present on-site including name, function, access required for each and phone number for the journalist, in order to provide each staff member with appropriate accreditation.
- Their observer seats request : International Broadcasters with unilateral on-site facilities (i.e. production vehicles and ENG crews) may request observer seats for their accredited staff members who have a pre and postmatch role on-site but not during the game itself, for example, a reporter who does pre-match presentations and post- match interviews. Please note the number of observer seats is limited and these seats will be allocated subject to availability.
It should be noted that LFP Media cannot guarantee all accreditations requested, as the capacities available for media accreditations are limited and vary from stadium to stadium. In rare circumstances whereby demand exceeds the supply of passes, first priority will be given to live commentary teams. If these deadlines are not met, requests will not be approved and accreditations will not be granted. International Broadcasters will therefore not be able to enter the stadium.

Accreditation requests
LFP Media shall be responsible for the approval of all requests and access area privileges, as far as commercial and media rights are involved. All International Broadcasters must provide to LFP Media a complete list of all their production personnel; clearly indicating the name, function, access and timing required for each individual. Only the personnel that actually needs to work on the pitch will receive a pitch access.

Other information
Accreditations delivery
After receiving validation from LFP Media, the clubs will issue the appropriate number of accreditation passes to the International Broadcaster who will be responsible for distribution to their individual personnel. In principle, an accreditation pass (without a ticket) will allow the holder entrance into and access within the stadium, limited to the areas specified on the pass. Accreditations do not allow access to a seat in the stadium except for commentators with confirmed commentary positions (maximum 3 seats). Accreditations are not transferable and must be worn visibly at all times. LFP Media, the LFP Media Manager, the home club and or stadium officials reserve the right to expel any accreditated person(s) from the stadium premises if found to be acting in an inappropriate manner.
TV Bibs
The bibs are for technical staff only and should not be used by presenters or guests. All TV cameramen (including ENG-crews), plus technicians working during the match with accreditation passes must wear a TV Bib. The International Broadcasters must wear purple bibs reserved for live match rights holders, accompanied by a yellow arm-band marked with DDD (détenteur de droits du direct - Live Match Rights Holder). International Broadcasters can pick up their bibs from the LFP Media Manager during the Media Production Briefing. International Broadcasters shall be responsible for collecting all television bibs after the match and returning them to the LFP Media Manager office within 90 minutes of the end of the match.
LFP Media manager
The LFP Media Manager is in charge of all procedures involved in the TV live production and all relevant processes, and overseeing compliance with the official venue procedures guidelines. At the venues, the LFP Media Manager acts as the main contact and "highest authority" for ENG crews. The contact details of the LFP Media Manager will be provided to International Broadcasters by LFP Media prior to the respective match.

Media production briefing
Upon arrival at the stadium and after having received the accreditations passes, the crews must attend the Media Production Briefing 2 hours before kick-off, where guidelines and rules specific to the match will be outlined to all domestic and International Broadcasters. Bibs are also distributed during this meeting to technical staff (they must be worn for all pitch-side activities). If the crews encountered any issue, they can contact the LFP Media Manager (only the day of the match).
Unilateral Services
Host Broadcasters are required to provide the following pre- and post-match unilateral services to LFP Media right holders, including International Broadcasters. All requests should be anticipated as far as possible in order to ensure that they can be met.
PRE/POST MATCH UNILATERALS
A minimum of three 10 minutes pre-match (no later than 20 minutes before kick-off time) and post-match (no earlier than 5 minutes after final whistle of the match) unilaterals will be provided by the Host Broadcaster to all LFP Media right holders (including International Broadcasters). These unilaterals may be either in "live" or "play-out" format. LFP Media will coordinate bookings with the Host Broadcaster on behalf of the International Broadcaster. In the event that the Host Broadcaster is unable to satisfy all the demands submitted by LFP Media rightsholders, priority will be based on the chronological order of when the requests were received by LFP Media.
Play out
The play-out (pre- or post-match) streams will be provided from the satellite vehicle transmitting the World Feed. International Broadcasters must ensure that their tape format is compatible with the format offered by the Host Broadcaster. The time slots allocated for play-out on the World Feed will be communicated by LFP Media prior to each relevant match.
Commentary position
A minimum of four commentary positions shall be provided by the Host Broadcaster to LFP Media right holders, including International Broadcasters. International Broadcasters’ requests for commentary positions should be addressed to LFP Media no later than Tuesday 16:00 GMT prior to the respective match. In the event that the Host Broadcaster is unable to satisfy all the demands submitted by LFP Media rights holders, priority will be based on the chronological order of when the requests were received by LFP Media.
Non-equipped positions may only be requested by International Broadcasters in addition to a partially equipped or own equipped position. Under no circumstances may International Broadcasters book a non-equipped position for observer reasons. International Broadcasters are responsible for ordering telephone and ISDN lines. Orders must be placed by International Broadcasters through their local telecoms provider. The table below outlines the equipment provided for each type of position.

PRE-MATCH INTERVIEWS AND PRESENTATION
The International Broadcasters, authorised by LFP Media can conduct a pre-match presentation pitch side before the start of the World Feed. All production material must be removed before the start of the World Feed and via an access other than the players' tunnel. Pre-match presentations can be conducted by a journalist and consultant, with the possibility to have a guest, but the maximum number must not exceed three people on air. No interviews will be allowed in the locker room area.
POST-MATCH FLASH INTERVIEW CORRIDOR
At the end of the World Feed, the International Broadcasters can conduct an interview with a player or coach from each team, before the players/coach return to the changing rooms, in the flash interview corridor. The exact timings and location of these interviews are coordinated by the LFP Media Manager at the Media Production Briefing. The request must be made by the journalist(s) that will conduct the interview, before the end of the second half. The LFP Media Manager will then transmit the request to the respective club's media representative to contact the player or coach. If the player or coach refuses to conduct the interview, the club media representative will oblige the club captain to conduct the interview.
PRESS CONFERENCE
All International Broadcasters will be authorized to film the press conference (all images can be retrieved from the SERTE). A podium and audio split box is usually provided for ENG crews. In addition, an overhead microphone will be used to allow journalists to ask their questions. Dictaphone and phones are not allowed on the press conference tables.
MIXED ZONE
After each match, a Mixed Zone will be set up to offer interview opportunities to ENG crews. The Mixed Zone is generally located between the changing rooms and the player transport area for each team. All players have to pass through the Mixed Zone but are under no obligation to give interviews.

MATCHDAY INTERVIEWS APPLICATION
International broadcasters who regularly travel on site can apply to LFP Media to be given access to the "LFP Interviews" application. Via this application, they will be able to submit their various flash interview requests directly to the clubs concerned. This application is coordinated on the day of the game by the match's Media Manager. It is available on Android and on the App Store.
